Altadena Sheriff’s Station Donates $22,000 and Launches

“Altadena Forever Run” to Support Fire Survivors â€‹

 

WHO: Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert G. Luna, Altadena Sheriff’s Station, and the Altadena community. 

 

WHAT: The Altadena and Temple Sheriff’s Stations donated $22,000 raised from its August 23rd Bus Pull event to benefit Altadena Eaton Fire Survivors.

Building on this success, the Altadena Sheriff’s Station proudly announces the inaugural “Altadena Forever Run: Where Resilience Meets the Road” a community race honoring the one-year anniversary of the Eaton Fire and raising continued support for fire survivors. 

​

 To honor the resilience of the Altadena community, support Eaton Fire survivors, and raise funds for the Sheriff’s Support Group of Altadena. 

​

WHEN: Sunday, January 4, 2026 Race starts at 8:00 AM 

WHERE: Mariposa Junction, 849 E. Mariposa Street, Altadena, CA 

MEDIA NOTE: Only media are required to have visible media credentials during the event.  Media will be allowed to park 

 starting at 6:00 AM on El Molino Ave., south of the start line.

Participants may choose from the following distances:

  • 10K Run

  • 5K Walk/Run

  • 1K Family Walk/Run​

All ages and experience levels are welcome including runners, walkers, families, high school cross-country teams, and first responders.

“We are thrilled that our inaugural Bus Pull event brought the community together in such a fun and meaningful way,” said Captain Ethan Marquez of the Altadena Sheriff’s Station. “The Altadena Forever Run is more than just a race, it’s a chance to honor what was lost, celebrate how far we’ve come, and continue lifting up our neighbors as we recover together.”
